Diljit Dosanjh on ‘Rangroot’: A film is not made in such a budget according to Punjabi films

Actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh who is popularly known for his Punjabi films and for his amazing songs as well stats that big-budget films are not safe always. He will be seen in ‘Rangroot’ which is based on the First World War, it will be a Punjabi film. He will also be seen in ‘Welcome to New York’ with Sonakshi Sinha and Karan Johar.


“’Rangroot’ is on First World War. It is a Punjabi film. We are trying to dub it in both Hindi and English. The trailer response was very good... I wanted to do a film like this since the past three-four years. But the budget was too high. A film is not made in such a budget according to Punjabi films.”


He further added, “It is not that safe but thankful to our producers that they made a film for me. If this goes well, then we would make more such films.”


‘Welcome to New York’ will be a comedy film. The film also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, and Boman Irani.
