Diljit Dosanjh to work alongside Akshay in Salman and Karan’s co-production?

Post Diljit Dosanjh's much-loved performance in 'Udta Punjab', the actor has managed to set a firm foot in Bollywood. He even won the Best Debutant Award at the much acclaimed 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards this year, and since then has been riding high on success. Diljit might have just risen to fame in the Bollywood industry, but he is already a star in the Punjabi film industry. Not only Diljit is a well-renowned actor, but also has many music singles to his credit.
With Diljit making it big in the Hindi film industry, he is receiving many many offers from Bollywood. However, a leading tabloid's report suggests that the actor has been approached to work alongside Akshay Kumar in a film Salman Khan and Karan Johar are to co-produce. A source close to the tabloid revealed, "Akshay has loved Diljit’s previous performances in other films and therefore, decided to offer him a role alongside him. Diljit too is excited about the offer. He has a substantial role in the film."
The film is to be helmed by National Award-winning Punjabi film director Anurag Singh, and Salman is said to have a cameo in the film. The film is to go on floors this year, but will only hit theatres in 2018. On the work front, Diljit will next be seen opposite Anushka Sharma in 'Phillauri', and post that he will start shooting for 'Kaneda' that stars Anushka and Arjun Kapoor.
