‘Gul Makai’ is a biopic based on Malala Yousafzai, the world’s youngest Nobel laureate. The film revolves around her early journey and the circumstances that made her an inspiration to the world. Director Amjad Khan chose actors based on their resemblance to the real-life characters. Child artiste Reem Shaikh is portraying Malala on screen. The research and writing has been done by Bhaswati Chakrabarty. Gul Makai, produced by Sanjay Singla and Preeti Vijay Jaju, is all set to release in the latter half of the year.
