Ekta Kapoor on 'Veere Di Wedding': It’s about girl bonding; it’s about friends

Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer 'Veere Di Wedding' is one of the most awaited Bollywood films of 2018. The film's posters have already been making all the buzz and it looks like it's certainly going to be a film to look forward to. Talking about the film, producer Ekta Kapoor said that the film is not just another chick-flick. “If one calls it a chick flick, it would be taking away from the essence of the film,” shruged Ekta. “It’s about girl bonding; it’s about friends. It’s a film you will see a lot of layers in once you watch the movie. All girls around the world will feel a sense of pride,” she said.

'Veere Di Wedding' will be Kareena's first film post giving birth to son Taimur Ali Khan. The film will also feature Shikha Talsania and is set to explore the spirit of modern Indian women. The film also features Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhasker in prominent roles. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, and written by Mehul Suri and Nidhi Mehra, the film is slated to hit the screens on May 18, 2018. Stay tuned for more updates.
