Here's what Anees Bazmee had to say when asked about the possibility of a sequel to 'Mubarakan'
Director Anees Bazmee's labour of love, 'Mubarakan' has opened to positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. Starring Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Athiya Shetty and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead, 'Mubarakan' is a mad family comedy.

Considering the encouraging response to the film, when asked Anees if he has any plans to make a sequel, he remained positive about the possibility. In an exclusive conversation with Team MissKyra, Anees said, "I am very comfortable making one film at a time as the audience should love watching it on screen. All my films are capable of making a sequel. I haven’t made many films still. I have been working for the past so many years still there are many stories which I want to show the audience. I cannot make more than one film at a time. I want the audience to enjoy the movie."

While Anees has been in the industry for over a decade now, his body of work largely boasts of comedy movies. When quizzed if he would like to experiment with different genres, Anees said, "I work on every genre of film I made 'Deewangee', which was a suspense thriller and was appreciated a lot. But after that, I didn’t get films for three years as people taught I wasn’t capable of making any other genre films rather than thriller. I have made romantic films also and I want to work on comedy also. I just want good stories which excite me to work on them. I have made three-four comedy films so people assume that I can only make comedy films."
