EXCLUSIVE: Karan Johar fails to get Priyanka and Deepika together on 'Koffee With Karan'

'Koffee With Karan' gets just better with each season. The ongoing fifth season saw some of the most unusual pairings gracing the couch, making revelations and confessions like never before. Some reluctant but at the same time relevant, and some willing - information flowed in, but with utmost care.
While Karan in each of his episode mentions how difficult it is to get the star to talk, there is another difficulty that Karan has to face, but behind the scenes. It is not very often that the stars voluntarily agree to pair up with another star on the show. A lot of convincing and coaxing goes into bringing them to share the couch. And such was the case when Karan tried to get Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra to share the couch. He miserably failed, of course!
A source revealed, "Karan wanted to discuss the Hollywood career of both the actresses. He wanted Deepika and Priyanka to come together on the show and had also worked out a date for them. But the two weren't too comfortable to share the couch, as both of them are individually powerful with what they opine. They both did give the Hollywood angle a thought but refused as they didn't want to steal the show from another."
However, Priyanka has already shot for the episode and went solo on the show. Whereas Deepika was first rumoured to grace the couch along with 'xXx: Return Of Xander Cage' co-star Vin Diesel, but nothing of the sort is confirmed. Currently, Deepika is said to have flown to Dubai along with alleged beau Ranveer Singh as they plan to bring in the New Year together.
