Shahid Kapoor is one of the most sought after actors in Bollywood, his performances have always garnered him praise in abundance. The actor, who is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’, wants to leave no stone unturned in his attempt to take the silver screen by the storm as Raja Rawal Ratan Singh.

In an exclusive interview with team MissKyra, Shahid revealed it was, in fact, the decision to become an actor that changed his life. When asked about how he manages to balance his personal life with his profession so beautifully, the ‘Rangoon’ actor opined, “Actually, I am still learning how to balance it out and do it correctly. Everybody has to do it. Everybody has to continue working, everybody loves their baby and everybody wants to spend time with their baby. So I guess with time I will get used to it.”

Talking about the most important thing he takes back from ‘Rangoon’, Shahid said, “It’s the first film I shot after I got married, and so that’s my strongest memory attached. There have been a lot of changes post marriage. Earlier, I used to live alone, but now I come back home to a wife. So yes, that’s the strongest memory I have of shooting the film.”

When asked if there has ever been an occasion when he hated a film but said he liked it. “Yes, my own films also sometimes. I say ‘very good!’ but then I walk out and say, ‘let’s leave the city, this is a bad one',” quipped Shahid. When asked if there’s a film he wishes was offered to him instead. Shahid was quick to pick Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’. But it is not Aamir's role that the actor wanted to play. Shahid instead wished he was offered the role of either Geeta or Babita Phogat.

When further questioned as to what he prefers between ‘going out and partying’ or ‘staying home and watching a movie’ as a better idea of a date, Shahid said, “Both work for me! Both are equally good. You can take turns, you can’t do too much of either.”

Talking about the worst rumour he has ever heard about himself, Shahid joked, “Many! Thankfully, ever since I got married, those rumours have shifted to other desirable, unmarried boys. I have become a nice guy, thank you!”

Alongside Shahid, 'Padmavati' will see Deepika Padukone play the titular role of Rani Padmavati, and Ranveer Singh is to play the cruel Alauddin Khilji. The film, ‘Padmavati’ is slated to hit theatres in the latter half of 2017.
