EXCLUSIVE: Soha Ali Khan opens up on how her daughter Inaaya might find the paparazzi culture irksome

They could be just toddlers but Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu’s daughter Inaaya Naumi Kemmu and Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s baby boy Taimur are internet sensations already. We asked Soha, her take on the paparazzi culture and how she deals with the early exposure the kids of the family end up getting.
She said, “As actors and public figures, we understand that this is the part and parcel of our life. When I first joined the industry there were no paps, they didn’t even like being called that. There was press. There were no photographers at the airport, outside the gyms or restaurants, now you see them everywhere. Just recently I got out of a hair salon, I had oil in my hair and there were a couple of photographers and I had to duck them. But we have realised that we have chosen this life but it’s not Inaaya’s choice. She hasn’t chosen this. And it might be irksome for her. She might not enjoy it much.”
Speaking of her own childhood, she added, “There wasn’t this kind of attention back then because we grew up in Delhi. There were no photographers or Bollywood glitzy parties there. Only in college did I learn about my father’s achievements in cricket. Similarly, I got to know about my mother’s achievements in cinema after joining the film industry. I remember my mother attending every PTA meeting at school. For me they, were like any other ordinary parents.”
