EXCLUSIVE! Sushant Singh Rajput: It was difficult to make the transition from TV to films

Sushant Singh Rajput has established himself as one of the most talented and promising talents out of the current lot of Bollywood actors. Known for not just his naturalistic style of acting but also his excellent acting skills, Sushant however made it a point to not showcase much of his dancing talent during his initial movies.

Reasonig this decision, the actos asserted, “Yes, it was deliberate. When I started off, I didn’t want to do a dance number in films. It was so difficult to make this transition from TV to films, not because I didn’t believe I could do it, but because others kept telling me Shah Rukh Khan did it 20 years ago.”

He further added, “When I was quitting my TV show, many people tried to dissuade me from doing so. Actually they were saying the same thing that my friends had said many years ago when I was in college and was planning to drop out to pursue my acting dream.”

Sushant will next be seen on the silver screen opposite Kriti Sanon in Dinesh Vijan’s romance-drama film ‘Raabta’, which will hit the theatres on 9th June.
