EXCLUSIVE! Yami Gautam builds herself a dream house in Himachal

Yami Gautam, who is basking in the glory of 'Kaabil's' success, will next be seen in Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Sarkar 3'. Yami started out her acting career with television, and eventually dabbled into doing films. Now a successful Bollywood actress, Yami is not at all airy when it comes to her career in the film industry.

The actress, who plans to stay close to her roots, has also started taking baby steps towards her dream of building a house at her native place. Yami was born in Himachal and is building a house there as a tribute to her roots.

Talking about the same, Yami revealed, "I am building a farm house on an agricultural land in Himachal. I was born there, so I am paying a mini tribute to my roots, especially to my nani. The locals there are extremely happy that I am building a home there. They are very innocent. Whenever I visit Himachal, I just sit with my people, have a cup of chai and talk to them."

She further added, "They love to hear gossip — not filmi, but family gossip! I become one with the local people. Like them, I also enjoy all the basic things in life. That’s the reason why I am still that person at home. I am extremely goofy and whenever I laugh at the lamest jokes, people are surprised because they have this notion that I don’t laugh!"
