Farhan Akhtar to star in Ashutosh Gowariker’s next?

Ashutosh Gowariker, who is known to direct the grand historical films is all set to direct an action-packed caper next. According to reports, Ashutosh has already got Farhan Akhtar on board for his next.

While there were reports that after six years Farhan is all set to go behind the camera for ‘Don 3’, but looks like the ‘Wazir’ has just given the nod to his first acting project of the year.

A source close to the development further revealed that after having directed a string of period dramas for a long time now, Ashutosh’s next film will have a contemporary setting.

“Ashutosh is taking a break from history and serious subjects with a stylish, modern, action-packed caper which unfolds in Europe. Farhan is the leading man. The hunt for an actress opposite him, as also other members of the cast, is underway,” informed the source.

Signing off the source added, “The film had one actor in common, Aamir Khan, who was shooting for them almost simultaneously and the two directors were juggling for his dates. Little did Farhan know then that one day he would be directed by Ashutosh. They have been discussing this project for a couple of months, it will roll this year.
