Melita Toscan du Plantier may be actor-film maker from France, but isn’t completely unknown to the Indian film industry. The actor has co-produced many Cannes award-winning films like ‘In The Fade’ and Indian film, ‘Masaan.’ The actor walked down on the red carpet of the 72nd Cannes Film Festival. For the event, the actress chose Indian fashion stalwart, Sabyasachi. Unlike Sabyasachi’s extravagant, maximalism ensembles, Melita’s silk portrait gown was elegant, graceful and fitting for an international event. Melita’s ivory gown was adorned with intricate floral embroidery and an umpire waist belt with Sabyasachi’s signature Royal Bengal Tiger motif. Melita’s look was minimally but meticulously. She finished off the look with a matching clutch and emerald tear drop earrings, which she showed off well, with her hair tied in an elegant bun.

Sabyasachi Mukherjee took to his label’s Instagram as he shared his brand’s international association. Film cretic, Anupama Chopra was also seen in one of the pictures, as she was seen posing with the gown before her red carpet appearance. Anupama shared few more things about the talented actor. She said, "Melita, who among other things, is the director of the Marrakech Film Festival and co-producer of award-winning films like ‘Masaan’ and ‘In The Fade’ talked to me about her 30-year journey. She rose from being a hostess distributing magazines to a producer with a film in the main competition! She's inspiring and always formidably elegant!"

Melita Toscan in Sabyasachi featured on the list of international fashion tabloids' Cannes Best Dressed lists. This flowing and floral gown brings a taste of the countryside to the French Riviera," wrote an international channel while another fashion magazine featured her red carpet look in their Best Red Carpet Looks gallery.
