Has Rani Mukerji's film ‘Hichki’ been adapted from this Hollywood film?

Rani Mukerji will mark her debut with ‘Hichki’, the trailer came out yesterday. The trailer has been liked by everyone. 'Hichki' is a story revolving around a woman with Tourette syndrome, with an aspiration to become a teacher. Tourette syndrome is a neuropsychiatric disorder that causes involuntary movements and sounds. The trailer shows Rani becoming a teacher and in a constant struggle to overcome criticism. And she makes her weakness into her biggest strength.


The trailer of ‘Hichki’ seems to be copied from a Hollywood film ‘Front Of The Class’. The film was directed by Peter Werner and written by Brad Cohen. The film is based on a true story. In the film, Brad Cohen’s revolves around him being a young boy and his mother helps doctors to realize that he has Tourette syndrome, and with his mother’s help and support from his school’s principal, and he manages to become an award-winning teacher, and he shares his success with everyone around him.


Rani Mukerji’s Hichki is set to release on 23rd February 2018.
