Has Varun Dhawan replaced Salman Khan in new dance movie?

Just a few months ago reports suggested that Salman Khan had opted out of a movie himself which was going to be directed by Remo D’Souza. The story was about a single father with two left feet who just had to learn how to dance to join his nine-year-old daughter on the floor for a dance competition. Salman has always made jokes about his ability to dance however this time the actor took it seriously and decided to opt out of the film because of his dancing ability and also the fact that he thought he might be a tad bit too old for the role.

Producer Ramesh Taurani then offered him 'Race 3' and now the Salman-Remo package has already begun work on the movie. Reports now suggest that Remo has found his new leading actor for his dance film and that will be none other than Varun Dhawan. A source said, “Varun happily agreed when Remo approached the actor. They have collaborated very successfully with 'Any Body Can Dance'. After the socially relevant 'October' with Shoojit Sircar, another dance film seems just the thing Varun needs to do.”

The source, however, did add, “This film has nothing to do with the 'ABCD' franchise. Remo designed it for Salman. But Salman was reluctant from the start and had even recommended Varun for the role.” We bet Varun will fill the shoes of Salman well and we can't wait for the project to kick start.
