Here are the nominations for 89th annual Academy Awards

The nominations list for one of the most coveted awards is out! The nominations list of 89th annual Academy Awards was released last night by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Taking in consideration the #OscarsSoWhite controversy of the last two years, the academy ensured that the nominations this year were more diverse. Barry Jenkins' 'Moonlight', Denzel Washington's 'Fences' and Viola Davis were nominated in some of the prime categories.

Tying with 'Titanic' for the record of 14 nominations, writer-director, Damien Chazelle's 'La La Land' was nominated in 14 categories including best picture, best actor, best actress to name a few.

Veteran actress Meryl Streep earned her 20th Oscar nomination, making her the most Oscar nominated actress of all time.
