Here's how Amitabh Bachchan and his family celebrated Holi

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his family began Holi celebrations this year by burning Holika. As per rituals, the Holika is burnt one day prior to the festival of colours and marks the beginning of the festival of Holi. Amitabh was accompanied by Jaya Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aaradhya and Shweta Bachchan Nanda as they celebrated Holi together. Amitabh also took to his Twitter account to share a post of their Holi celebrations. Here's what the actor tweeted:
The family put the customary tilak and enjoyed some gujiya, the traditional sweet that is consumed on this festival. Their celebration this year was quite simple and sober. Most of the celebrities this year have cancelled their Holi parties owing to veteran actress Sridevi's untimely demise. Amitabh is also known for featuring in a few songs that capture the essence of Holi. Of those, 'Rang Barse' from the film 'Kabhi Kabhie' and 'Holi Khele Raghuveera' from 'Baghban' have been fan favourites throughout the years. Stay tuned for more updates.
