Here’s how Shahid Kapoor lost four kilos in five days for ‘Padmavati’

Shahid Kapoor is one actor who gives his best to the character he portrays onscreen. The actor will be seen as Maharawal Ratan Singh for ‘Padmavati’. Shahid Kapoor is one of the most dedicated actor in Bollywood.



Shahid Kapoor undertook rigorous training and was following a strict diet to do justice to his part of the warrior king. He consumed small meals like sweet nuggets made of coconut milk and bowl of cut mangoes at regular intervals. He didn't consume any artificial sugars. Greens like broccoli, kale and spinach, along with grains and legumes that are rich in protein made way to his afternoon meals."I lost four kilos in five days. I don't find physical challenges as challenging as I find understating the psyche of the character that you are meant to play and be true to him and be able to find all the layers in him."



Shahid Kapoor shares his experience of sword fighting, he said,"Sword fighting is a very defined skill... We've done it in a very raw manner. As raw as it could get."



"I had to draw from my instinct and from what Sanjay sir had conceived in the script. We hope the film releases soon and the authorities help us release the film. I don't know the date." He also added.



Shahid concluded by saying, "I don't think there is anything in the film that is unacceptable or that is not in good taste. Eventually Padmavati will come out and in full force. Our constitution says that you are innocent until proven guilty. Same should be extended to Padmavati, it should not be considered guilty even before it is provided for people to judge it.”
