Here’s what Aamir Khan has to say on farmers protest in Maharashtra

Mr Perfectionist celebrates his 53rd birthday today; he held a press coference after returning from Jhodpur. His wife Kiran Rao was also present at the press conference. At the press conference the actor spoke about the farmers protest in Maharashtra, his Instagram debut and about his next ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’.


As the actor has always been in support of farmers and has helped thousands of farmers in drought areas in the state. Even this time, he had expressed that people in the city should help these farmers and solve their issues. Aamir Khan said, "It is necessary for people living in the city to help the farmers and solve their issues."

Kiran Rao went to the airport to receive him today. She gifted flowers to the actor as well. On his birthday today, the joined Instagram and shared his mother's picture as his first photo. When Aamir was asked why he joined Instagram now, he revealed, "Kiran Rao convinced me to be on Instagram. I had to post my mom’s post as the first on Instagram because of her I am here."

Earlier when a fake account had been created he said, "Guys, I am not on Instagram. It's obviously some fake account," Aamir wrote in his tweet.

‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Katrina Kaif. The film will have Diwali release on 2018.
