Here's when the next hearing of Jiah Khan's case will take place

Bollywood actress Jiah Khan's untimely demise at the age of 25 had taken the entire nation by surprise. Although the evidence had pointed towards suicide her mother Rabiya Khan was convinced that her then-boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi was responsible for her daughter's death. Since then a case against Sooraj has been going on. Now, after a list of witnesses was submitted to the court, the City Civil and Sessions Court was to hear the matter on Tuesday and Wednesday. However, the case didn't proceed any further as the judge was reportedly on a leave.
Sooraj, who has been charged with abetment of suicide under section 306 of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) was present, along with his lawyer Prashant Patil. Rabiya on the other hand, was in London and was represented by her lawyers. Since the judge was on a leave, the next hearing is scheduled to take place on April 20. Rabiya, in a text message from London, said, “The honourable judge mentioned the Sessions Court become a fact finder (sic).” Stay tuned for more updates.
