Recent reports suggested that Aamir Khan had backed out of the Rakesh Sharma biopic. And while us fans went wondering what the real reason was for doing so, today we've found one! It wasn't the script or the story that led to the actor opting out of the film but in fact, his own commitment to one particular project that he has decided to dedicate the next 10 years of his life to.

According to sources that know the actor well, the actor wants to stay out of other projects and concentrate on a franchise that his own production house has been working on for the last six years. A reliable source said, “'Thugs of Hindostan' will be Aamir’s last film from the outside. For the next 10 years, Aamir will devote his entire attention to a franchise, which will stretch into several films, all to be produced by him. Some of them will also be directed by Aamir.” And the first film in the franchise will be launched in 2018 and will be helmed by 'Secret Superstar' director Advait Chandan.

The source added that five films are planned by Aamir in this franchise and they will stretch into the coming decade with a promise of more to add to the list. “This essentially means that Aamir will be seen only in his home production for the next 10 years, playing the same character each time,” said the source. We're eagerly awaiting this major surprise and can't wait for it to be unveiled!
