Here's why Farhan Akhtar deleted his Facebook account

For the last few days, social media networking site Facebook has been making the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Apparently, the networking site was accused of copying personal data from people's Facebook accounts which is in direct violation of their privacy. The Federal Trade Commission has been investigating the company as well. As per latest reports, it is being alleged that as many as 50 million people might have been victims of this data distortion.

This has also sparked a global outrage amongst people. Bollywood actor-director Farhan Akhtar seems to have been spooked by this news and very promptly deleted his Facebook account permanently. He took to his Twitter account to tell everyone that he had deleted his Facebook account. Here's what he wrote:



His fans on Twitter cheered for him when he revealed the news, however, he hasn't yet revealed the reason behind doing so. On the work front, Farhan is currently gearing up for 'Don 3'. Reportedly, he will also act in the film. Well, we can hardly wait to watch it. Stay tuned for more updates.
