Hrithik or Akshay, who will play the lead in Anand Kumar’s biopic?

Renowned mathematician Anand Kumar’s biopic seems to have come to a halt as the makers are confused about who they want to cast as the main lead. Apparently, the movie was to be co-produced by Madhu Mantena and Priti Sinha, who then parted ways. What is interesting is that both had different choices when it came to casting the lead actor, the choices being A- list stars Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan.


Finally, the project is being taken forward by Madhu Mantena and a fresh contract is to be signed between Anand Kumar and the production company, as earlier the rights were registered under Priti Sinha’s company, which has been expired. Madhu Mantena the co-founder of Phantom films was apparently signing deals with Reliance but reportedly Priti Sinha was unaware of this deal’s development. The issue hadn’t been resolved as both the producers were negotiating with their respective actors and both production houses were not in talking terms each other to resolve the confusion. But Mantena reported that this confusion about the development was a mere misunderstanding as no deals had been signed between him and Reliance.


‘Queen’ director Vikas Bahl, who was said to be directing the project initially with Hrithik Roshan, has made sure that he gathers the true spirit of Anand Kumar’s life in the biopic. Both Hrithik Roshan and Vikas Bahl had collected relevant study material for the biopic, however, let’s hope that the development doesn’t get influenced by the said hesitations.
