International pop-sensation Ed Sheeran is engaged!

Congratulations are in order for International pop-sensation Ed Sheeran who took to his Instagram handle to announce that he was engaged. The singer was dating his high school sweetheart Cherry Seaborn for almost three years and now the duo has reportedly gotten engaged. “Got myself a fiancée just before new year,” the 26-year-old singer wrote on Instagram on Saturday, captioning a sweet photo of himself and Seaborn, who has inspired, among other things, Sheeran’s latest hit single. “We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx” he added.
The couple has known each other since high school and had recently also moved in together. The duo started dating after Taylor Swift invited Cherry over to her place. Talking about the same to a leading magazine the singer had stated, “I’ve known Cherry since I was 11. She worked on Wall Street in New York, and I had like six shows [around New York in 2015]. It was around then, and we reconnected. I went on tour again, and then I went to Taylor’s 4th of July party. I was texting [Seaborn], and she was like, ‘I’m in Rhode Island at a 4th of July party,’ and I was like, ‘So am I.’ I kinda said to Taylor, ‘Can I invite one of my old schoolmates?’ The rest is history.” Well, we can hardly wait for them to get married.
