EXCLUSIVE: Irrfan Khan: Parvathy is the hero in 'Qarib Qarib Singlle'

We all know just how talented Irrfan Khan is, as an actor. A talented artiste doesn't feel insecure about his screen time and the same goes for Irrfan. The actor will be seen as the romantic lead in the upcoming flick 'Qarib Qarib Singlle'. For Irrfan, it's the story that matters more than the length of his role in the film.

The actor said, "If the story becomes important for me, the length of my role doesn’t matter. If the heroine happens to be a narcissistic actress, then there will be a problem. However, I haven’t had any such experience as I am careful about the cast I work with. I have a say in the casting of my films. It is important because one has to interact with the co-actor."

Although, Irrfan is immensely talented, he also confessed that he couldn't really understand his character in 'Qarib Qarib Singlle'. He said, "I couldn't decipher it initially. There was an entertaining quality about this guy that I couldn’t relate to. I found his jokes in poor taste."

Irrfan also mentioned that he thinks that the heroine Parvathy, is actually the hero of the film. "While rehearsing my lines and thinking about my character in 'Qarib...', I reached the conclusion that the heroine is the main character. I was fascinated by her part, which is fantastic and multi-shaded. The first thing I told Parvathy when I met her was, ‘Aap toh bhai hero ho iss film ke. Humein bhi jagah de dena’," concluded Irrfan.
