Reports suggest that Deepika Padukone has approached Shoojit Sircar for the part of female lead in ‘October’
Bollywood heartthrob Varun Dhawan recently made an announcement that he will star in Shoojit Sircar’s next, ‘October’. While the prep for the project is underway, reports suggest that Deepika Padukone has also approached Shoojit for the film. While the film does not have a meaty female part, Deepika is keen to collaborate with the director as she considers ‘Piku’ one of the finest films that she has done.

Varun had made the announcement in style as he shared an Instagram post announcing the same.

T
alking about the project, director Shoojit Sircar in an interview had said, “It’s again an out-of-the-box kind of story. We started working on this film’s idea, which came from a small newspaper clipping, right before ‘Piku’.” He further described it as 'a very unusual, unconventional kind of a story in the slice-of-life and romance space.'

On the work front, Deepika is currently invested in the shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’, which is touted to release by November 2017. Varun Dhawan too has his hands full with the shooting of David Dhawan's 'Judwaa 2' with Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez.
