Is John Abraham and Parineeti Chopra’s next a rom-com?

After starring in films like 'Force 2', 'Rocky Handsome', 'Dishoom', and other films by the likes of action-thrillers, looks like John Abraham is finally set to sign on a romantic comedy instead. The last film that saw John in a comic role was 'Housefull 3', post which the actor has mostly done action films.

However, reports suggest that John's next will not be an action-thriller but a romantic comedy instead. According to a leading tabloid, John is in talks with filmmaker Anees Bazmee who is planning a rom-com for the actor.

The makers are planning to roll out the film in the latter half of his year, and are still scouting for an actress to star opposite John. The makers are contemplating on signing Parineeti Chopra alongside John in the film, and are in talks with the actress.

John and Parineeti have never starred together in a film, however, the actress did a special number with Varun Dhawan in 'Dishoom', a film that John was also a part of. However, Parineeti's spokesperson denied the news and issued a statement that said, "Some news has been doing the rounds of Parineeti Chopra and John Abraham coming together for Anees Bazmee’s next. To clarify, there is no truth to this whatsoever."
