Nawazuddin Siddiqui might be an 'underrated' actor, but he sure as hell deserves to be on top. He has time and again proven his worth as also his diversity when it comes to films and roles to portray on the big screen. And while we hear that Nawazuddin Siddiqui is rather choosy about his films, buzz also is that the actor readily slashes his fees for films he really likes and believes in.

The actor will soon be seen portraying Balasaheb Thackeray in the biopic based on the late right-wing leader from Maharashtra and the actor has also cut his price substantially in the Sanjay Raut penned and produced the film. “But he has slashed his fees a lot more for the Manto biopic. Even for 'Babumoshai Bandookbaaz', which he promoted very aggressively, he hardly charged a fraction of his fees,” said a trade source.

Siddiqui who has been seen sharing the screen with stars like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan has also apparently been opting out of films now if he has not found the role great enough. Nawaz opted out of a role in Salman’s 'Tiger Zinda Hai', though he finally picked up a role in Anil Sharma’s 'Genius'. Varun Dhawan too recently revealed that he took a remuneration cut for Shoojit Sircar’s film 'October', to make the film a commercially viable project.
