Sources who have been associated with the project believe that Taapsee's character is actually inspired by a real-life lady Shabana
Taapsee Pannu's next, 'Naam Shabana', is a spin-off of her character from Akshay Kumar's 'Baby'. Taapsee, who plays the titular character of Shabana in the film, is a spy and has performed some high-octane stunts in the film. Sources who have been associated with the project believe that Taapsee's character is actually inspired by a real-life lady Shabana.

It is a known fact that the director, Shivam Nair, has taken cues from several female RAW agents who are hired for specific assignments/missions even used as honey traps. And now the buzz is that the film is based on one such woman who was a helping hand for the system.

Neeraj Pandey is known to write stories inspired by real live events and is known for hard-hitting films like, 'A Wednesday' and 'Special 26'. Directed by Shivam Nair, 'Naam Shabana' is produced by Gulshan Kumar and Cape of Good Films and is all set to release on 31st March 2017.
