Is Zhu Zhu upset with the box-office report of 'Tubelight'?

According to reports, Chinese actress and model, Zhu Zhu, who made her big Bollywood debut with Salman Khan-starrer, 'Tubelight' is apparently unhappy with the 'lukewarm' response garnered by the film. 'Tubelight' managed to cross the 100 crore marks after almost five days, making it one of Salman's lowest box-office collections.

While Zhu Zhu couldn't be a part of the promotions of her Bollywood debut was keen to visit the country post the release of the film. However, as per sources, Zhu Zhu has now cancelled her trip to India as she is unhappy with the film's performance at the box-office.

There was also a lot of speculation surrounding Zhu Zhu's absence during the promotions. While sources attributed the actress's absence to her shooting commitments in China, the recent reports suggest otherwise.

According to a leading media portal, "She has been asked to stay away from 'Tubelight'. Even the media had reached out for interactions, but they were told she is busy and unavailable for interviews. The China Film Group Corporation (CFGC) greenlights all Indo-Chinese associations, however, this project wasn't approved by them. Considering the strained relations between the two countries during the 1960s, the CFGC wasn't sure how Kabir Khan would approach the subject of the film."

Salman Khan and Kabir Khan's third collaboration, 'Tubelight' has finally entered the 100-crore club. On the work front, Salman is currently shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar's 'Tiger Zinda Hai' with Katrina Kaif, which is scheduled for a Christmas 2017 release.
