Jiah Khan's mother Rabia Khan moves to Supreme Court, files a Special Leave Petition challenging Bombay High Court order
After High Court rejected a petition filed by Rabia Khan - mother of late actress Jiah Khah - challenging CBI's charge sheet that termed Jiah Khan's death as a suicide case, Rabia has now moved to Supreme Court. Rabia Khan has now filed a Special Leave Petition challenging Bombay HC order refusing further investigation.

While it has almost been our years since Jiah's death, in January, Bombay High Court turned down an application seeking for a Special Investigation Team assisted by FBI to investigate further if Jiah Khan was murdered by her then-boyfriend, Sooraj Pancholi. Rabia's legal counsel along with the SLP has also submitted photographs of Jiah's corpse and the post-mortem report by medical experts from the UK. According to the reports, going by the injuries on her body, it suggests the possibility of a homicide.

Justice Ranjit More and Justice Anuja Prabhudessai told a leading daily, "Central Bureau of Investigation has carried out fresh investigation from all the aspects. But Rabia can still persuade the trial court based on the material so produced by her, and that the charge sheet is not the end of the matter."
