Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s upcoming movie ‘Tubelight’, which shows the futility of wars and how they affect the families of soldiers, took a cue from the film’s message and recently said, "I think those who order war should be sent to the war front, given guns and asked to fight first. It will stop in one day. Their hand and legs will start trembling... It will stop and they will go straight to the table and have discussions."

This comment did not go down too well with some people and the actor had to face the flak for voicing his opinion. Coming forth in support of the actor, ‘Tubelight’s’ director Kabir Khan recent said, “I see no problem with the statement (of Salman). He just said war is a waste of resources, human life and time for any country. Nobody wants to go to war. What is wrong with that statement? Anybody who says going to war is great, I think, is acting stupid."

He further condemned the trolls and criticism that had followed Salman’s comment and said, “I think getting trolled for anything you say is becoming a bit too much. You don't need to agree with everything that everybody said but screaming, shouting and getting abusive is ridiculous. Try and understand the point that is being made and in its context."

Earlier, Salman Khan’s brother Sohail had also come forth in the superstar’s defense. Read his about it here.
