Here's how Salim Khan reacted after watching son Salman Khan in 'Tubelight'
Salman Khan, in many of his interviews and interactions, has mentioned that his father Salim Khan is his biggest critic. Salim Khan's feedback is very important for Salman, and the actor makes sure to take his advice on many of his films. Salman's father also gives him a feedback keeping the audience perspective in mind, and hence the advice comes handy in many of Salman's film releases.

Salman starrer Tubelight's director Kabir Khan too reaches out to Salim Khan for his feedback on the films he directs. He took Salim Khan's opinion after completion of 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and has also shown him the rough stills from 'Tubelight'.

Talking to a leading daily about the same, Kabir said, "I showed him the first cut. He came out of the edit room and without saying a word, gave me a big, tight hug. Need I say more?"

Kabir further reveals that he often discusses scripts with Salim Khan before proceeding with any film. The filmmaker adds, "I always make it a point to narrate the script to him before I start filming. How many people have the privilege of getting a living legend to doctor their script? He has always come up with invaluable inputs for me. For Tubelight, too, he gave me a few pointers that made the screenplay better."

It was Salim Khan's idea to edit out the song 'Aaj Ki Party' from 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' as he thought that the song was diluting the essence of the film. "I told Kabir to not put the song at the end of Bajrangi Bhaijaan because it was diluting the impact of the film," says Salim Khan. Confirming that he has watched 'Tubelight', Salim Khan says, "'Tubelight' is a beautiful film” and further adds, “Kabir has made it well."

Also, the catch line on 'Tubelight' poster - 'Kya Tumhe Yakeen Hai', is actually Salim Khan's brainchild. However, Papa Khan doesn't want to take any credit for it. "We were all discussing it and it is always a team effort," says Salim Khan.
