Bollywood actress Kajol is known for always saying what's on her mind and she's not one to mince her words. However, the actress refused to comment on the ongoing 'Padmavati' controversy. Kajol was recently at an event where she was asked if this is a difficult time for the directors and actors to be a part of historical films. The actress stated, "I would not like to comment on 'Padmavati' issue, per se. (But) I don't think it is a difficult time for actors to work in a certain kind of film. It is a perfect time for actors to do any kind of films that they like. You can see a younger actor playing an older role and vice versa and get away with it. People are willing to accept you and it is a fantastic time and space for actors to do any kind of film."

Recently, actress Alia Bhatt took a stand against the threats, and stated, "I said this in my tweet, and I say it again, it’s not just 'Padmavati', but it is this entire trend of protesting against films that I have a problem with. Let the film release first. There is such a thing as creative license. Just as you have your right to your opinion, I also have my right to expression." As of now, the film that stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in lead roles is yet to be cleared by the CBFC. Stay tuned for more updates.
