An actress, a dutiful wife and a hands-on mother is what describes Kajol best believes the actress herself. While most actresses put their acting career on the back burner post the pregnancy, Kajol approaches each of her films with a new zeal. Having completed a successful 25 years in the industry, Kajol will next be seen opposite South superstar Dhanush in a film titled 'VIP 2' (Velaiilla Pattadhari 2).

After having an illustrious film career over the years, Kajol in an interview with a leading daily revealed that she is not as ambitious as her contemporaries. Kajol revealed, "I did a film because I was bored. Then, I found out I was good at it and went on to do another one because I liked it. It didn’t feel like work to me, and I enjoyed the process. I liked the people I was working with. The film industry has some of the most amazing people, who never look at you differently. It’s like family; at least I have felt that since I began. Everyone kind of adopted me and took care of me and made sure I was okay. And I felt that for each of my films."

The actress further added, "My mother (actor Tanuja) has always told me there is never up or down (hierarchy), so I’d have food with everybody [on sets]. I felt everyone has loved me and treated me in the same way."

While Kajol believes she is not as ambitious an actor, she also says that she is a rather hands-on mother. "I definitely believe I am bringing up my children well. They are a huge part of my daily life and to take care of them in any which way, physically, mentally or spiritually, is my responsibility. So they come first and everything comes after that," said Kajol as she signed off.
