Actor Kamal Haasan who is known for his stellar performances recently announced his entry into politics. On Thursday, the actor said that like in cinema, in politics also there is a fear that a rival can run away with your script and produce a film before he can do it. It looks like this was a veiled reference to his longtime friend and superstar Rajinikanth. In a write-up in a Tamil weekly, the actor revealed that he was often being asked about the progress of his plans to launch a political party. But to him, this was like asking the plot of a film on the first day of production.

"But in cinema there is a fear that a rival may complete a film and release it before we are able to do it. In politics also there is such a fear,” he said. “That is why one has to be careful. What has to be said has to be said carefully and correctly. One has to guard against taking back what has been uttered. I am involved in that only,” he said. Kamal also said he was being asked by several people on "how I am going to tackle the problem of friends turning rivals”. To this he responded by saying that he would not stoop to the “usual low levels” of politics and his followers would also not like it. Stay tuned for more updates.
