Kangana Ranaut opens up about signing 'Fashion 2' and 'Rangoon' not striking a chord with the audience
Recently there were reports that suggested Kangana Ranaut was approached by filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar to sign on to do 'Fashion 2'. However, talking to a leading daily, Kangana refuted the news and said, "There is no such thing. There are so many rumours floating around. Madhur sir last called me for his house warming party and that was it. Our conversation was only regarding that and nothing else."

'Fashion 2' will be a sequel to the 2008 hit film 'Fashion' which also starred Priyanka Chopra. Kangana won her first National Award for her performance in 'Fashion'. Post 'Fashion', the actress went on to do commercial as well as parallel cinema, and her performances garnered praises in abundance. However, her last outing, 'Rangoon', didn't quite manage to do well at the Box Office.

Talking about the film not doing so well with the audience, Kangana said, "Nothing can stop a film from being a hit if the audience loves it. I have worked with several first-time directors who went on to make great films so I believe if the film is good, you'll get the love. Maybe we somewhere lacked (referring to Rangoon) in what we presented."

While the actress is not affected by the fact that the film didn't do so well, she is unhappy that her performance went unnoticed in the film. Talking about the same, Kangana asserted, "Most critics said that was my best work so far. I just felt sad that the film couldn't reach as many people as it could have. It's heartbreaking."

"My only grudge from the film is that not many people saw it. My work didn't reach to people and I felt really bad about it. But failure is inevitable, you've got to have setbacks. It's all part of the business," said the actress before signing off.
