Apparently, Kangana Ranaut is hurt by the reports of Aanand L Rai being upset with her
According to reports, filmmaker Aanand L Rai is apparently upset with his frequent collaborator Kangana Ranaut, for the actress has been claiming that the director is penning down a script for her.

Talking to Pinkvilla, a source close to the actress revealed that Kangana is hurt by the reports of Aanand being upset with her. The source said, "Kangana and Aanand have worked together on Tanu Weds Manu and Tanu Weds Manu Returns, both of which have been super hit films. They both share great equations and hence it came as a surprise when she read reports of Aanand being upset with her.”

Pinkvilla quoted a source saying, "Aanand shouldn't be upset with Kangana because she is one actress who worked with him at a point when no one was ready to sign his film. In fact, his film Tanu Weds Manu didn't have funds and it was because of Ranaut that a big production house agreed to back him, given that she had done some films like Fashion, Life in a Metro and Gangster and was a brand. In a way, it can be said that she launched him and the least that he can have is some gratitude for her. There was a time when there was no money to shoot Tanu Weds Manu and the shoot of the movie had been stalled. But we sailed through those tough times. So he should have rather stood by her now and this reaction of his has hurt her."

The source concluded, “Kangana hasn't gone on record and claimed that she is working with Aanand in a film or that the director has a script for her," adds the source and also clarifies, "Despite sharing such great equation with the director, if he still chooses to believe these things then nothing can be done. Also, if Aanand is upset with the entire Kangana and Karan controversy and thinks that the actress is wrong, then Ranaut too won't have time to accommodate someone with a patriarchal mindset.”
