Karan Johar upset about Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra's split?

Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt have recently been making the headlines owing to their alleged breakup rumours. A source close to the two recently spoke to a leading daily and revealed, "Sidharth and Alia have split, and unlike previous instances, this time, it seems permanent. They will not get back together again." The source further added, "Alia and Sid are avoiding each other and are not even on talking terms now. Maybe with time, they will get back to being friends, but for now, they are maintaining a distance from each other. They were having a lot of fights in the recent times. Mutually, they decided it wasn’t working out and it was better to end it."

According to a leading daily, Sidharth and Alia's mentor Karan Johar is unhappy about the split and has been constantly trying to patch up the co-stars but it looks like the ex-couple are not interested in getting back together. Reportedly, Karan also spoke to them in private but his efforts went in vain. The duo was recently spotted at Ranbir Kapoor's birthday bash where reportedly they didn't mingle at all and had even arrived and departed separately.

Earlier, when Sidharth was quizzed about the breakup he had stated, "Alia and I breakup? For what? Breaking tables and chairs."

Whereas Alia had stated, "I didn’t know about that at all. Such talks (about breakup) started even before I travelled to Patiala (first schedule of Raazi)."
