Karan Johar expresses his pride as a citizen after the verdict of Section 377

In a historic verdict, the Supreme Court today declared that homosexuality is not an offence in India. Section 377 has been decriminalised and the verdict clearly states that the "Sexual orientation of an individual is natural and discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is a violation of freedom of expression," as expressed by Chief Justice of India, Dipak Mishra.

Among many celebrities, filmmaker Karan Johar seems rather pleased with the verdict. Much like always, he took to Twitter to express not just joy but pride about this matter being widely discussed at the moment. The director/filmmaker gives a huge thumbs up for humanity today stating that he is proud of the decision made by the SC. Here's what his tweet reads like:
