Karan Johar: I am more of a television personality now!

Noted filmmaker and producer, Karan Johar, has started believing that he is more of a TV personality owing to his continual appearances and success on the small screen. Karan Johar, who will now also be seen judging a singing reality show at the launch of the same said, "I don’t think there is anything left on television that I didn’t do. From judging the dancing, hosting a show to now judging a singing show, I’ve covered it all. I am more of a television personality now and films seem to be an incidental part of my personality. "
Talking about his increased popularity due to his stint on TV, Karan said, “Wherever I go, people ask me more about talent shows or the talk show and it’s very embarrassing. Sometimes, I have to tell them I am a filmmaker and a producer too.” Karan however feels that the impact of the small screen is huge. He said, “I think the impact of television is huge. It is important to know for us that three percent people of our country watch films whereas 25 percent people watch television. It’s nine times more impactful."
When asked that if films have backseat for the director, Karan said, "I have solemnly resolved that I will be back on sets as a director next year, towards the end of the year as a filmmaker. My heart lies in television but my soul lies in films."
