Karan Johar met Hrithik and narrated him a story. Hrithik has liked the script but has not confirmed if he will be signing the film.
Karan Johar’s ambitious project ‘Shuddhi’ has been indefinitely delayed over the past few years. Post Salman Khan rejected the film, Karan announced that Varun will be playing the lead in ‘Shuddhi’. But nothing really fell in place for the film, and now one hears that the film is shelved.

‘Shuddhi’ was to be helmed by director Karan Malhotra, who assisted to KJo on ‘My Name is Khan and has managed to give a solo big hit with ‘Agneepath’. While ‘Shuddhi’ was touted to be his next big project, seems like the director will now have to move on to a next project. If rumours are anything to go by then, KJo is now planning to produce a comedy film under his banner. The said project will be helmed by Karan Malhotra, and KJo has approached Hrithik Roshan to star in the film.

Reportedly, Karan Johar met Hrithik and narrated him the story. Hrithik has liked the story but has not given said a yes as of now. Hrithik wants some time to think over the script, and will only give a confirmation once he is sure about the project.

If Hrithik agrees to do the film then, things will finally fall in place for Karan Malhotra who has not directed a film for a long time now.
