Katrina Kaif: I don’t have interesting birthday stories to tell

Katrina Kaif is celebrating her birthday today, and while she is in New York to attend an awards show, the actress takes out time to talk about her birthday. She talks about her fond memories as a child and reveals details about celebrations with family.

In an interview with a leading daily, when asked if she likes to celebrate her birthday, Katrina quipped, "Yeah, maybe. Honestly, I don’t know if I’m exactly a birthday person. I’m not sure. I’m still in two minds about how big a video one should make for their birthdays. Right now, because we are in New York and there’s so much happening around, we are just going to have fun. That’s it."

When asked about celebrating her birthday as a kid, the actress added, "As a kid, I don’t think there was much time or energy spent on birthdays (laughs). My family had too many kids to give each birthday any importance. It was only later that we started celebrating them. Obviously, this year, I am performing on the night of my birthday, 'Jagga Jasoos' has just released and I have my birthday."

Talking about her fondest memory, Katrina said, "Umm, let me think... I really don’t remember. I have always travelled on my birthdays in the last few years. Although last year I spent it with friends in Mumbai, and it was lovely. But the two years before that, I have always travelled out of the country. So seeing and visiting new places, it’s been fun!"

When asked about the craziest thing someone has done for her birthday, Katrina was quick to respond, "I don’t have interesting birthday stories to tell. (Laughs) There’s nothing that I remember right now."

The actress further went on to reveal that some of her sisters are flying down, and hence, she will be celebrating her birthday with family!
