Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan starrer ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ has run into legal trouble days before its release. The film’s director, Ajay K Pannalal, and producer, Tony D’souza, were arrested yesterday for hurting religious sentiments.

Apparently, certain groups of people had a problem with one of the posters of the film, which was released on April 4, 2017. In the poster, Rajkummar is in Lord Shiva’s get-up and is seated on a silver motorbike with an Uttar Pradesh number plate.

“The Police had come from Jalandhar to Mumbai with the arrest warrant for the director [Ajay K Pannalal] and the producer [Tony D’souza]. Both of them were taken for medical examination and were taken into custody. They have not been granted bail,” revealed a source close to the film.

However, when the Versova Police Station was inquired about the incident, they denied any such arrest. “As of now, there is no entry in our register, so we cannot say anything. Only when our senior officer comes, we can confirm,” said an official.

As of now, the movie is slated to release on June 9, 2017.
