Mammootty reminisces about working with M T Vasudevan Nair

Actor Mammootty has always been vocal when it comes to his mentor, M T Vasudevan Nair, and it is with great pride that he reminisces about working with him in films. The films they did together have gone on to become one of the most notable films of his career. The actor echoed similar sentiments recently when he was called on to felicitate the veteran, and also speak few words about him.

Never before have the Malayali audience seen the actor in a complete lack of words, and to the fans’ amazement, this time he sure fell short of the apt words to describe his experience working with M T, and narrate his observations about him.

When asked to talk about him for two minutes, the actor was at his witty best as usual. Mammootty said, “Let alone two minutes, even two days was not enough to talk about his finesse. He is the one person, who has been talked about the most by Malayais, as a writer in Malayalam literature.”

He further added, “More than the works he has written, his works has given way to a lot of writings and readings by other people.” When it comes to the vastness and beauty of villages and the tenderness of human relationships, there was no one to outrun him, explained the star.

He said that it is the same M T Vasudevan, who has instilled in the Malayali readers new ways of deciphering a text. However, while lauding the efforts of veterans, he also diverted the audience’s attention towards the decreasing respect and devotion towards our mentors in today’s age.
