Manish Malhotra confirms a period drama starring Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi

As reported earlier, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan are all set to reunite on-screen on for Abhishek Varman's 'Shiddat', which will be produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Also, starring alongside Alia and Varun in the film is Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi Boney Kapoor, which means that the film is going to a mainstream commercial potboiler.
While all the reports about the 'Shiddat' star cast were termed as dainty speculations, Manish Malhotra in a recent interview confirmed the news about the same. A source had earlier said, "Sridevi and Sanjay Dutt have been approached for the movie. But they both are yet to give a nod."
While interacting with a leading online portal, the ace designer confirmed the cast of the film. Manish said, "I am working on a period film starring Varun and Alia, Sanjay Dutt, Sridevi, Aditya Roy Kapur, so that's a big cast." There were also reports that Sonakshi Sinha too is a part of the film, but there was no confirmation about the same.
