Akshay Kumar shifted the release of his ‘PadMan’ after Sanjay Leela Bhansali requested him. Both the films were supposed to clash at the box-office on 25th January, after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s request ‘PadMan’ later and ‘Padmaavat’ had a solo release. ‘Aiyaary’ was supposed to release on 9th Feb initially, and due to the whole shift, the makers of the film are feeling insecurity now.

Manoj Bajpayee who is also a part of ‘Aiyaary’ recently faced a backlash for retweeting a tweet of a journalist who had written that Akshay Kumar was scared of the competition with ‘Padmaavat’ and hence he postponed the release of his film. And also Sidharth Malhotra has expressed displeasure over the shift of ‘PadMan’ reportedly. But Manoj Bajpayee deleted the tweet after getting backlashed by Akshay Kumar fans on social media, then the whole issue gave rise to rumours that both Manoj Bajpayee and Akshay Kumar have a new rivalry. Later Manoj Bajpayee cleared that it was unintentional.

The actor said, "I found that sentence fantastic. There was no ‘Pad Man’ reference in that so I just re-tweeted it with a smile emoji. After an hour I realised that the journalist meant to take a dig at ‘Pad Man’ and I, unfortunately, to no knowledge of mine thought that it was a fantastic philosophy and I should endorse it. This was blown out of proportion. I deleted the tweet once I realised that it was something else to the line.”

‘PadMan’ is slated to release along with ‘Aiyaary’ on 9th February.
