Manoj Bajpayee recalls Yash Chopra’s reaction before the release of ‘Veer-Zaara’

We all will never forget the iconic romantic-drama film ‘Veer-Zaara’. Manoj Bajpayee, Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta shared the screen space together in that iconic film. The ‘Satya’ actor recalls his conversation with late filmmaker Yash Chopra, who was worried about the release of ‘Veer-Zaara’.
Manoj said how he was trying to calm Yash Chopra before the release of their film, “I was sitting with Yashji when ‘Veer-Zaara’ was about to release and he was very worried about the film -- how will it perform and what will happen? I told him that it’s his (Yash ji’s) picture. It has to perform well. That day he (Yash Chopra) told me that if he had the formula for making a hit movie, all his movies should have been hit and he would have had no flop films.”
Recently Manoj Bajpayee and Sidharth Malhotra were at an event promoting their next ‘Aiyaary’, “I am here in the industry to make a difference with my acting and I want the young generation to be inspired by movies like ‘Aiyaary’. The film is about the issues of generation gap between a mentor and his prodigy.”
‘Aiyaary’ is slated to release on 26th January 2018.
