Manushi Chhillar gets chosen as the Brand Ambassador for this good cause

Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar who addressed a press conference along with Manushi Chhillar on November 30 announced the appointment of Miss World as the Brand Ambassador for the campaign to prevent anaemia among women in the state.



Chief Minister also extended support to Manushi's project of spreading awareness about menstrual and reproductive health and hygiene among girls. Khattar announced the free supply of sanitary napkins to teen-aged girls in all schools of the state to support the project. Pointing out that 61% of the women in Haryana were found to be anaemic, the chief minister expressed the hope that involvement of the beauty queen in the programme would help in improving women's health. A sum of Rs 18 Crore would be spent on this scheme, he added.









Manushi said that being a medical student of Khanpur Medial College, she had a dream of doing something for girls of Haryana. She lauded initiatives taken by the state government to improve the sex ratio in the state, "On behalf of the mothers, sisters and daughters of the state, I am thankful to the state for such efforts," she added.
