'Mardaani 2': Rani Mukerji is all set to don the cop uniform in this sequel

It's no secret that Rani Mukerji is amongst the most talented actresses out there. She has left us impressed time and again with her unique portrayal of characters and we must say we always look forward to seeing her on the big screen. Well, here's some good news for her fans. Rani is all set to appear on the big screen yet again in the sequel to her film 'Mardaani'.
In 'Mardaani', Rani was seen playing the role of a brave cop Shivani Shivaji Roy who took on the kingpin of a child trafficking racket. The hugely acclaimed film is now having a sequel and this time, Rani will be seen as a Superintendent of Police who is locked in a vicious battle with a 21-year old merciless villain.
We recently got our hands on a picture of Rani in her uniform from the film and we must say that it's only increased our excitement for the upcoming film. In the picture, it is rather evident that Rani is a bold, fearless and defiant top cop who launches an investigation to go head on with this extremely clever and vicious villain.
The film has been produced by Aditya Chopra and will also be Rani's next project after the blockbuster film 'Hichki'. Gopi Puthran who was the writer of the first 'Mardaani' film is also making his directorial debut with 'Mardaani 2'.
