After 17 years, India yet again wins the title of ‘Miss World’.
A medical student from Haryana, Manushi Chhillar has just been crowned as the new Miss World and we couldn’t be more proud. Elbowing the other 108 gorgeous ladies from various participating countries, Manushi has been hailed the new queen in the Sanya City Arena in China PR.

India won the Miss World title first ever in 1966 when medical student Reita Faria stunned the audience as also the judges in our traditional saree. Of course, then followed Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra to name a few that bagged the crown for India and today…call it a coincidence or not, medical student Manushi has repeated history and stands tall and gorgeous as the new Miss World 2017. The 20-year-old also won the Head to Head Challenge and the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ title earlier this evening. It was reportedly Manushi’s childhood dream to win the title. She earlier said, “As a kid, I always wanted to participate in the competition but I never knew I would make it this far. Winning the Miss World title is now not just my dream, but also that of my family and friends. I know it’s going to be a journey that I will never forget. Whatever the result, I am going to learn, enjoy and give it my best. The rest, I leave to destiny.”

Well, it’s safe to say that destiny has been good to her as to India apart from the fact that this beauty totally deserved to win! We’re proud of you Manushi and we bet the entire nation is too.
